I often make props by hands for my photographs. I think it somehow takes the idea to a new level and the personal perspective feels stronger. It’s going to be a one-off for me – just like photography is. I want my images to have imperfections and strange elements, because that is what life is all about.
When I build things with my hands, I look for human warmth, funny surprises and more depth to a story. When I work with real materials, I get time to think more about the concept. When I start to put pieces together – first in front of my camera and then in post-production – and when it starts to make sense for somebody else too... well, it’s one of the best feelings.
I will collect here random BTS images from different types of projects and hopefully there will be a good selection one day. I just want to show you that there is so much more going on than the final piece. It’s all a process.
