From projects in 2020-2022.
This video shows a little peek at my journey (2020-2022) and a broader perspective of how I do my images. Often, when we see other peoples’ work, we have no idea what it took to get it done — and I think that happens in every profession. I’m thankful for everyone who has participated in my projects. Thanks also to those who will decide to join my future projects. I appreciate your time, courage, and support. I hope I can deliver a new episode from future projects. :)
I often make props by hand for my photographs. It takes the idea to a new level, strengthening the personal perspective. It will be a one-off for me – just like photography is essentially. I want my images to have imperfections and strange and natural elements because that is what life is all about.
When I build things with my hands, I look for human warmth, funny surprises, and more depth to a story. When I work with authentic materials, I get time to think more about the concept. I start putting pieces together on paper, in front of my camera, and then in post-production. After, I look at how it begins to make sense as a puzzle piece in a series. If the series at some point makes sense for somebody else, too, well... it’s one of the best feelings.
I will collect photos from different projects to show you that there is so much more than the final piece. It’s all a mental, physical, and digital process in one package.
