Through personal projects, I strive to continuously evolve both my thinking process and technique and find my own perspective in an unstable world. I hope I can encourage someone who wonders whether or not to start doing their own projects to think: yes, it’s possible and yes, it’s worth it. We need to prioritize our goals and determine what kind of work we find meaningful and what gives us energy – and how we can empower each other. Finding time and budget is always hard but I have learned it’s possible. One of the most important thing is not to give up when things don’t go as planned. There are so many moving parts in this type of work and sometimes you need to go out there several times to get it right.
In my first BTS video I’ve collected clips from photo shoots and props making from my 2021 projects. My working conditions are far from fancy and shoots are often made on a tight schedule, because otherwise they wouldn’t happen. The video shows a little glimpse of my journey and a bit wider perspective of how the images are done. Often, when we see other peoples’ work we have no idea what it took to get it done — and I think that happens in every profession. Even though I work alone I often don’t work alone. Meaning, there is usually someone in front of my camera and at times someone holding a light for me.
I’m so thankful for everyone who has participated into my projects. Thanks also for those who will decide to participate into my future projects.
Your time, courage and support is noticed and highly appreciated.
I want to also thank everyone who participated in making of this video and anyone who watched.
I hope you enjoy :)!
